CBIS/Korfil is a manufacturer and distributor of products for masonry and concrete.  

We are the largest producer of Expandable Polystyrene (EPS) insulation inserts for concrete masonry units operating three plants servicing the entire United States and Canada.  Inserts are sold under the trademark names of “Korfil,” “Korfil Hi-R,” “Icon,” and “Uni-Therm.”  These systems have been structurally tested and code approved, and can be used in grouted reinforced construction without insert removal. 

CBIS/Korfil has expanded our facility and grown the business into a variety of non-construction-related products as well.  In addition to our insulation insert product line, we currently do specialty molded products for other industries.

The Northeast Cement Shippers Association (NECSA) is a not-for-profit cement industry promotion/market development organization. It is one of ten regional promotion groups (RPG’s) in the United States. It is the regional affiliate of the Portland Cement Association. However, it is controlled by its own Board of Directors and has its own By-Laws. NECSA’s mission is to promote the increased use of ready mixed concrete, concrete products, concrete masonry and other cement-based applications. This is accomplished in partnership with “Partners in Promotion” throughout the Northeastern United States.

The Plymouth Quarries, was incorporated in 1915 in Hingham, MA, when a group of companies merged, which had been quarrying on the property since 1811.

We still quarry Weymouth Seamface and Splitface Granite and continue to serve customers such as University of Michigan, Yale University and St John’s University that have used our stone for decades,.
